We also know, that if we could foresee everything that was involved with having children before we actually had them, it’s possible we may have waited right?  The honest truth is that most of us would actually never trade any of it, not even for a split second, but knowing some things in advance so we could be could become more prepared could certainly help.

Deciding to have a child is a life long commitment. It is usually not a decision we take lightly. Think about all the time and money we spend on planning for our new addition. 4 Tried & True Tips for Taking Control of Your Finances

How many people feel like money disappears at the end of each month? Sometimes life gets in the way and there is just too much month at the end of your money. In my career I have met many people who have said they would like to take control over their money, but never know how to get started. They are afraid to take the time to get the ball rolling.

I know that the main reason this happens is because getting ready to handle finances and start saving money for retirement can be intimidating. But if you follow the greentouch online advances steps, I’m sharing here then I am certain that once you take the time to begin the process you will get it done in time!

Here are 4 foolproof tips that will hopefully make it easier for you to get started:

  1. Create a budget. The fact is that not everyone can stick to a budget. Many wind up spending more than they originally intended so they get discouraged and give up. Start off by simply cutting down on your spending a little at a time. Pack your lunch, make your coffee with the best espresso machine under 100, buy more generic brands at the supermarket. You will soon start to see results and feel better about saving more money.
  2. Become money savvy. Start to read about personal finance. Commit to picking one topic regarding personal finance at a time and try to read about that topic for 30 minutes a week.
  3. Start paying yourself first. Setting money aside for your savings comes before even paying your bills. When you squeeze that extra money out of the budget you must set aside money for yourself automatically. If you cut out buying coffee, (which, say, costs $2 a day), at the end of the year you will have $730 saved in your emergency account, or you could make coffee at home so you could find out what are the benefits of caffeine creams, that are good for skin and hair, of course you can also visit Texas hair places to get treatments who are affordable, since you’ll know all sometimes is necessary, and also save money. Not bad!

Break Through Your Money Blocks

Mondayquote

Ladies, think back to all the negative perceptions we were taught about money growing up. “Money is the root of all evil.” “Money doesn’t buy happiness.” “Money is not spiritual.”

It’s this kind of thinking and this kind of mindset that is the cause of most people’s financial demise. Yes, money does NOT buy happiness, but neither does poverty.

I feel like I can be as bold and as blunt as I want with you because I have your best interest at heart. Additionally, I’m talking from my own personal experience. I was always surrounded by friends and family members that were the biggest proponents of thinking negatively about money.

I have been in the financial industry now for almost two decades. I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to help clients that come from all different financial and economic backgrounds. What I’ve found over the years is that even though I help them understand the importance of having a financial road map- they tend to fall short on the execution.

The inability to follow through with their plan stems from their belief system regarding money -that’s where I come in.

After digging deeper through asking the right kinds of questions, I was able to identify the mental and financial blocks my clients were experiencing. All it took was a little redirecting of their belief system and then they were finally ready to take those first steps towards financial stability. It wasn’t long after that they were started seeing success from their efforts.

Do You Have The Guts To Succeed?

The one common thing all entrepreneurs have is guts. Plain and simple. If that’s too harsh for you I apologize, but it is the absolute truth. As an entrepreneur, you will have to develop a thick skin. For those of you that take things literally, what I mean is you need a certain attitude. You can’t worry about what anyone else thinks, you just have to go out and get it done.
How do you develop that? You have to get out there and be uncomfortable. You have to do things that other people aren’t willing to do.
Here are some things that can help you determine if you have this ability. You need to think about and do these on a regular basis:
  • You must use the G.O.Y.A theory: Every single day – If it is to be it’s up to me is an entrepreneur’s motto. So we have to “Get Up Off Our Assess” (or Anatomy if you like that better) and make stuff happen!
  • You Have To Be Bad Before You Can Be Good: You will make mistakes, believe me, I have made my share, but I promise you that you will ultimately get better. Just keep going, don’t stop. Develop that muscle and don’t even pause when you make a mistake just keep going.
  • Do The Things You Fear The Most: You will have to get out there and connect with people. You will have to make phone calls and follow-up calls. We have to do those things because in the long run it is what is going to help our business grow.
  • Be A Leader: A true leader is acting like one when nobody else is following you yet. Walk, talk and act like the person you want to become.
  • Face Your Challenges: We all have things that are thrown at us that seem insurmountable at times. It is how you react to those challenges that show what you are made of. The more challenged you are, the more you need to welcome that distraction and keep going.
  • StayPositive – When everything is going wrong around you and you feel like nothing is ever going to happen you must stay focused. Nobody will every follow a negative cry baby. It is completely within your power to stay positive when people are around you and even when they are not.

All of us have the choice to work through our obstacles and grow in the process, or give up and let it beat you. When you force yourself to push through it, you become stronger. When you can do this, you have something special that separate’s you from the pack.

Your passion will cause you to persevere and give you the stamina and nerve you need to keep on going.

You Can Succeed in Direct Sales

zig_ziglar_success_occurs_when_opportunity_meets_preparation

No problem is insurmountable. With a little courage, teamwork and determination a person can overcome anything. – B. Dodge

No one would pretend that direct sales is easy. If it were, more people would be doing it. It’s commonly said that for every one person who says ‘Yes!’, there are nine who say ‘No!’. If you need to find five people a day to say ‘Yes!’, you will have to talk to fifty people a day.

You need energy, stamina and you need to be able to be as bright and cheerful at six o’ clock at night as you are at eight o’ clock the following morning. If you can’t rise above the trials and tribulations that afflict us all, both in private and in work life, don’t consider a full-time career in direct sales. When I decided to join a direct sales company 18 years ago, what really attracted me was the ability to make my schedule, have qualified people train me and then I was able to find people better than me to build a business with. That was worth all the trials and tribulations I had to go through to make a six figure income.

The truth is building a business isn’t as hard in network marketing as people make it seem. There are systems in place to follow. The challenge is that people over analyze everything and they just don’t follow the system. I had blind faith. I knew I didn’t know anything, so I was extremely coachable. You can be successful in direct sales to if you follow the system that is presented to you and keep these simple things in mind:

  1. Set a schedule and stick to it – Get a planner that allows you to integrate all areas of your life in it so you have everything with you at all times.
  2. Find a mentor – In your company and a coach outside of your company. You need non biased views and ideas in my opinion in order to succeed faster. It is well worth the investment in the long run.
  3. Be a crusader – Own your own products and show potential customers you believe in them.
  4. Stop making excuses – Invest the time you need to and just get it done.
  5. Utilize the direct sales model – Do not reinvent the wheel. Follow the model that has already been proven to work.
  6. Master your craft- Know everything you need to know about your products and service and duplicate your self by training other’s.
  7. Set up a solid referral system – Once you have learned to use it and you are a pro at getting referrals, make sure you teach it to your associates.
  8. Recognize your team –  Big and small accomplishments are important to reward your team for. Everybody has a sign on them that says “make me feel special.”
  9. Have a system for recruiting – Know the numbers. How many people do you have to  invite to look at your opportunity daily to recruit 1 per week?
  10. Follow a marketing plan – Spin multiple plates at all times.  Face to face prospecting, internet marketing, advertising, vendor events and workshops.

When you stop over thinking it and follow the system in place, you can become a master at direct sales!

Always Think Referrals

How-To-Get-Referrals-Work-Smart

“In sales, a referral is the key to the door of least resistance.” – Bo Bennet

There’s more value in a word-of-mouth referral from a friend than any advertisement.

We all want to work smarter not harder, right? The challenge is that sometimes we just don’t know how. The purpose of a business is to create a client who creates more clients. There are usually two obstacles I see that hold people back from getting referrals. They either don’t know how to ask or they are afraid to ask. Referrals aren’t given easily. You wont get a referral if you don’t establish a relationship and credibility with your client. People have to know you, like you and trust you. They have to feel comfortable with who you are and what you do.

Here are some ways that can help you get better at getting referrals:

  • Just Ask
You will certainly get more referrals, if you did the right job, when you just ask for them.
  • Give First
If you go out of your way to give a referral to someone first you have a greater chance of them giving you a referral in return.
  • Partner With Your Client
Let your client know that you view them as a strategic partner and explain to them that you hope they’ll do the same with you. You can create channels to share referrals.
  • Set Up All Referral System That Other’s Can Follow
Focus on what your ideal client is and then tap into networks.
  • Provide Valuable Content
Share blogs, workshops, webinars, and articles that relate to your industry that will educate your clients or potential prospects. Leave information for them to contact you and make sure you follow up!
  • Everyone Needs To Knows What You Do
The more people that really understand what you do the more you increase the potential of getting more referrals from many sources.
  • Set the ExpectationIn your proposal, you can include a section that sets the right expectations for referrals from the get go. You need to state that referrals are a clear part of your business model; to keep marketing expenses down and maintain affordable services, we kindly request the client introduce us to two referrals during or after our engagement. Of course, being remarkable at whatever you do is essential. Go the extra mile for your clients. This way, they see quality in your products and see passion you have for your work. From this, you will naturally receive referrals.

By focusing on these simple tips you can start receiving client referrals consistently. Why work harder when referrals will help you to work smarter!

Recruiting 101: “You’re One Recruit Away From An Explosion”

recruitmentlightbulb

I have been in the financial industry in a direct selling company for almost two decades. One of the things I come across when I am recruiting reps and doing the job skills testing to expand my business is that direct sales is often misunderstood. What I want is for people to understand what direct sales really is. Instead of traditional retail outlets or online marketplaces, direct selling maintains a sales force of millions of committed independent entrepreneurs.

These small business owners affiliate with a direct selling company and receive commissions on sales, but work for themselves. Independent direct sellers set their own hours and create their own marketing plans. They determine whether to build a sales team and how to go about mentoring them. Also, how to serve their customers – whether in their homes, online, or at parties with family and friends. This all depends upon the type of company it is. I am in the financial industry so doing an in home party or a meeting to recruit new associate’s wouldn’t be in my home or the home of friends – for obvious reasons.

Aside from the fact that you can start in a network marketing company on a part-time basis while you learn and work from home, you have the ability to make unlimited residual income. The way that you do that is to go out and recruit some awesome people and duplicate yourself over and over. To me, the most attractive part of the business was the ability to recruit and build a team of people I can teach to make a six figure income and run their own business. I would get to override this team and receive residual income forever. The concept is to build a team that becomes self-sufficient and goes on to run their own office, it is like opening multiple franchise outlets. The huge difference is that the average franchise requires a large sum of money to get started. Most direct sales companies require a minimal out-of-pocket expense to get started.

So why not work smarter not harder? One of the best ways to achieve multilevel marketing success is to share the products and business opportunity with other people.

Here are a few tips that will help you to get out there and recruit and build your team:

Pick Your Battles

together

I wanted to share this with you today from the book “Team Work Makes The Dream,” work by John Maxwell.

I keep it by my couch where I sit early in the morning and later in the evening. I go back to it often and read a chapter or two at least once a week.

I think this is so crucial to understand what John wrote about team work and picking your battles for all the entrepreneur’s reading this right now. It truly takes a village, a team around you to make it happen. Individuals who you can collaborate with, like minded people who show you support, and people who can help your vision become a reality.

John Maxwell said “Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is a process, working together is a success.”

  1. Winning is often the battle and there are times in the life of every team player when he or she needs to fight. But if you fight all the time, you can wear yourself out. That’s why it is important to pick your battles.
  2. To gain a better perspective of when to fight back and when to sacrifice yourself, practice the following disciplines.
  3. Spend Time with People Who Are Different from You – That helps you to appreciate and understand how others think and work. You will be less likely to judge others.
  4. In Matters of Personal Preference or Taste, Give In – Keep the main things the main thing. If you don’t save yourself for what really matters, you’ll wear yourself out.
  5. Don’t Take Things Personally – Always remember, hurting people hurt people. They are also easily hurt by others.
  6. Practice 101 Percent Principal – Whenever possible, find the 1 percent you do agree on in a difficult  situation, and give 100 percent of your effort.
  7. Be a Servant Leader – If your mindset is to serve rather than be served, you will likely encounter less conflict.

Remember, “Together We Can Do The Impossible.”

Our Choices Determine Our Direction

Tough Decisions Ahead Road Sign

I was talking to a good friend about life and choices yesterday. Sometimes you need that kind of a conversation to get clarity on your situation and sometimes adjust your sails and correct the direction your life is headed. There is no mistake that our lives are a product of choices we have made over time. The challenge is that because these choices we make on a daily basis don’t affect our lives immediately, we don’t give it much thought.

The reality is it is those little choices we make every single day along the way that impact our lives the most. I admit I have certainly made poor choices in my lifetime. I still do. When I started to really think about it, I thought about why I made those choices? When we make choices are they for us or are we making them based on what we think we should do? Did we make them because we were afraid of what people would think? Or did we make those choices because at the time we though we had to?

Before you can start to make better choices you have to realize that our choices are entirely our own. We all live with the consequences of our choices. To be happy and move on we can’t regret those choices and we can’t go back to change them. What we can do is learn from those choices and make better ones moving forward. The good news is, it is not where you came from that is important, it is where you are going!

We can all make the choice to change our lives any time we want to. It doesn’t matter if we are younger or older believe it or not.  It was hard for me to swallow that too.

If you are having a difficult time making a difficult choice consult with a friend who understands and might have experienced something similar. Start trusting your instincts a little more often. If it feels bad, like you shouldn’t do it, then don’t! I personally struggle with that daily.

Here are some things to consider:

  1. Accept your situation, but change your outlook.
  2. Accept what happened, but change your path.
  3. Accept the choices you’ve made, make better choices moving forward.
  4. Accept people that have hurt you,  but change the people you hang around with.
  5. Accept and love yourself, but never stop learning or changing.

Some circumstances and choices we could never change, but always remember you can always change what you can simply no longer accept. Sometimes all it takes is a little help from your friends!
